Folk

Well, hello there lovely! A few weeks ago I found the beautiful Etsy shop of Leah Duncan. I purchased the “Folk” print above, but am pretty much drooling over all the other prints she has available. Like this:

So nice to find affordable, original artwork. Now, if I only had the wall space to display more of it!

I am a big fan of Etsy. Huge. Almost inappropriately large. I think it’s supercool that artists get the chance to display and sell their work with what seems like an easy to use and intuitive interface. I have dreams of one day opening my own shop and peddling my wares, but until then, I’ll have to satisfy myself with combing the listings for little treasures. I’m always on the lookout for a new source for great art, accessories and even furniture! I’m thinking I’ll feature each new Etsy shop I discover here on my blog. So stay tuned… In the meantime, what Etsy shops do you love??

  1. What a great find - love these little pieces of art! I started an etsy love affair last summer and spent many hours perusing various shops however sometimes there is TOO much to look through (is that even possible?) - any suggestions on how to narrow down searches so it's not quite so overwhelming?

  2. Definitely--Etsy can be totally overwhelming! They do have great search functionality, but you have to know exactly what you're looking for to use it. Just be as specific as possible with your search terms. However, if you just want to see pretty stuff and inspiration, I plan on featuring at least one cool shop per week. In the meantime, check out http://decor8blog.com/ --she does a super cool weekly feature called "Etsy Take 5" where she chooses 5 shops to feature. Just type it into her search box. It's a great place to start discovering cool Etsy shops!
